Just met some Humanist Monks at the thrift store, I assumed they were Krishna or Buddhist given their attire of orange robes and beards and Turban. Well, I suppose Krishna, Hindu or the like since the Buddhist tend to keep it clean cut. Anyway, shot some portraits of them, hope the one of the oldest turns out, sweet gray beard on this old Indian man's face. Rad. Anyway, going to see my friend Greg play with Greg Ginn from Black Flag tonight. In the meantime gotta finish some of the backtrack audio for the CzechsForSEX show tomorrow at Hal & Al's, I expect you all to be there. Also gotta get some stuff together for Urban Scrawl tomorrow during the day, should be a fun day. I'll post those shots when I finish the roll and develop them. Until then, enjoy these shots from roll of film I bleached before developing awhile back...

Rainy day work...
So much for keeping up on this, anyway, here's what's new. Been working on some new photo transfer pieces, coming out great. Only problem is I haven't been shooting enough for the last year and am running out of photos to use. I like doing the transfers because it's way cooler than just a print that anyone can make anywhere. I don't like the idea of selling people prints with no uniqueness and I can't afford the more elaborate print techniques. I like being able to give some one something tactile and real to hold. The texture is great too. Trying to do a full series and get a show somewhere.
Still showing at Travonna in the meantime and got a mention in this weeks Alive, pretty hyped on the exposure. Teaming up with Jon Stommel and his crew at the upcoming Urban Scrawl, interested to see how that turns out. Then the (not so?) infamous CzechsForSEX will be playing Hal and Al's that night, come party. Anyway, here's some new shots I just developed, Paper Negatives in my Graflex 4x5. A lot of fun to tote around and use, people think you're weird. Proud of myself on the exposure since I didn't have a meter handy and had to do the math in my head to compensate for Iso 6. Let me know if any of you are actually reading this and what you want to hear, I'll be happy to chime in on anything. ciao for now.
